Magic Hospital is very fortunate to have dedicated staff and volunteers who are committed to bringing smiles on children's faces.  The performers and program leaders are offered compensation so as to ensure quality, consistency, and accountability.   A heartfelt THANK YOU goes out to all of our volunteers who donate their time, enthusiasm, and laughter to make the lives of children a little brighter.

Art Therapy, Shanghai

Ning Daming, a favorite among the kids at Shanghai Children's Medical Center, has led the weekly art activities for MH since it began in September 2006.  Originally from Hunan province, he graduated from China Eastern Normal University with a BA in Art. Daming taught art class in university and middle schools for a few years, and now is working as an artist and designer with his own studio. He has a very open personality and strong love for kids.

Magic Hospital Shanghai Leader

Wendy Zhang joined Magic Hospital in June 2006 in Beijing, then later launched the Shanghai chapter in September 2007 after relocating to Shanghai. She has always had strong interest in interacting with kids and helping kids in need. Born and raised in China, Wendy completed her graduate degree in Medicine from Harvard Medical School and MBA from Boston University. During her stay in the US, she volunteered for the New Jersey chapter of NAMI (National Alliance for Mentally Ill).  She is currently a marketer in the pharmaceutical industry.

Xiaoxi Zhao (Brook) joined Magic Hospital in June 2008 after having lived in USA and Germany for 14 years.  She has previous experience working in a Chinese hospital, so her understanding of the hospital administration greatly benefits our team.  While living in the USA, Xiaoxi was a teacher at Huaxia Chinese School located in New Jersey.  She is happy to be part of the caring team and spending great time with the kids.
