Ertong Hospital Honors Children’s Day
With Magic Hospital
On May 27, 2009, the young patients of Ertong Hospital in Beijing were honored on Children’s Day for their bravery and positivity. Patients were given medals and certificates provided by Magic Hospital. Laura Johnson-Hill, Magic Hospital supporter and active Beijing community member, and Mr. Liu, the clown who visits Ertong on a weekly basis, were on-hand for the event.
“The nurses were so amazingly proud of the children. It was quite emotional and incredible to see the relationships between the parents and these nurses that cared day-in, day-out for the children,” said Laura.
The children performed songs and were greatly appreciative of the medals and certificates presented. Mr. Liu performed exquisitely, as usual!!! All in all, it was great fun and rewarding for all involved.
