On April 10th, Magic Hospital officially expanded its Clowns & Co. program to Hua Xin Hospital in Beijing. Mr. Li, one of the clowns, visited the hospital on Friday afternoon for about one and a half hours. During his first visit, Mr. Li performed magic tricks in the hospital playroom and later toured the wards of patients who could not yet leave their beds. The audience totaled about 20 people and the children’s ages ranged from a few months to four years.
The expansion began on a trial basis and will later be assessed for running on a more permanent basis.
We extend our appreciation to the staff of Hua Xin for allowing us to entertain and encourage their very special young patients.
The program was temporarily interrupted due to Swine Flu precautions. We expect to continue the visits soon.
