On June 23rd, Magic Hospital hosted another 2010 Outdoorsy Day. We invited 28 children from New Life Centre to join in an exciting afternoon of laser tag at Star Trooper (www.startrooper.net) in Wang Jing, Beijing. Mike and Per, our Star Trooper hosts (and owners) generously donated the games, and their time, to Magic Hospital.

The New Life Centre is a residential training centre for underprivileged young people ages 10-20, housed in four semi-detached properties and run by six teachers and four supervisors. It is used for welfare relief and literacy programmes to enable teenagers pursue further education through scholarships or enter the work force.

The children of New Life Centre were so thrilled by this fun and interesting new experience. A very quiet, considerate group, these children were such great team players and were very enthusiastic about the game. They were equally enthusiastic about the ice cream treats Magic Hospital provided as well!

The children were able to take their computer-generated score cards home as a memory of the afternoon. New Life Centre's founder was pleased that the children were able to have a fun, relaxing morning playing together at Star Tropper.

We are so grateful to Mike, Per, and the entire staff at Star Trooper, and our wonderful Magic Hospital volunteers.
